The Forgotten Vegetable. Almost.

The calendar says it's nearly Thanksgiving. The garden looks as though summer has been gone for several months. The broccoli plants, however, can neither read a calendar nor give a care about Michigan seasons, it seems.

Look at this lovely, perfect head of organic broccoli Brad plucked from our garden on Sunday:

I must say, the only reason the broccoli was still planted was that I got sidetracked when pulling out all the vegetables. I just didn't get to it.

Brad went out back to do something, I'm not even sure why he was back there. But luckily, the forgotten vegetable was spotted. And eaten. And enjoyed.

It was probably the BEST broccoli we've ever eaten. And it was almost forgotten. Almost.
