The older boys have been bugging me when we're at Meijer to let Bryce ride the $.01 pony. You Meijer shoppers know what I'm talking about-the shiny brown ride-on horse near the checkout lanes. It's only 1 penny!

I let Bryce try it for the first time the other day, when the big boys were at school. Not a good plan. Should've waited for a day when the older boys were also with us; Bryce could've used the encouragement. For a child that likes to climb, jump, run, bounce and basically act like a crazy man, this gentle rocking horse did him in. Seconds after this photo-he was in tears.

Think of all the pennies I'll save, however.
