Halloween 2011!!!

Okay, okay. Halloween was last week. I'm just now getting to posting some cute kid photos. Whatev. Brendan wanted to be an Angry Bird, Brett originally was an M & M, and Bryce was Bob the Builder. I made Brendan's Red Angry Bird out of a sweatshirt, and he was able to play his flute for a Halloween concert at school while wearing it. Impressive, right?

It was so impressive that Brett decided he wanted to be an Angry Bird, too. So, he was the Black Bomb Bird.

And Bryce? Well, he refused to wear the Bob the Builder costume that Brad & I had thrown together for him. He wouldn't wear it to his homeschool preschool party and he wouldn't wear it for Trunk or Treat at church. About 20 minutes before we head out the door for trick or treating in our neighborhood, Bryce announces that he wants to be an Angry Bird, too. Really? I don't think so.

 I had to improvise and offered him every.single.thing in our dress up box. Chef? no. Bill Nye the Science Guy? no. Soccer player? no. Baseball player? no. Viking? no. Mario? no. WAIT---"Hey Bryce, do you want to be Hey?"  (Bryce calls Luigi "Hey" because I guess Luigi says "hey" in one of the Super Mario Galaxy games.)

Finally-we have a winner. Bryce will be Luigi. But all he will wear is the baseball cap.
Fine. Done.
