Tied for 5th place overall--not bad for yesterday's You Be The Chemist Michigan State Challenge! Brendan did great-placing much higher than last year and getting knocked out by a question that neither of us recall ever studying in his study guide. He worked very hard and is very pleased. He's spending today having some long overdue video game time. He's been studying so much lately!
It was recorded at Detroit PBS studios and will be broadcast on May 27 and on June 1. There is hope by the folks that run the YBTC program that within a few years, this compeition will have the same spotlight that the Nat'l Spelling Bee receives.
