Amazing New Church Policy

"Effective Sunday, October 25th - we will no longer allow any outside food or drink (with the exception of fruit juice and water) in the nursery. We will keep on hand a stash of allergy safe foods for the kids to have."

This is so awesome for us as a family. Our church has really gone above and beyond for our family and specifically, Bryce. First, they banned peanuts/tree nuts from the church, including outside users of our building. I've actually seen volunteers at church pot lucks turn food items away after reading the ingredients. Then, they find out that we're not putting Bryce in nursery each Sunday because the other toddlers in there have sippy cups of milk and snacks containing wheat. Our Christian Ed director changed all of that-and we didn't even ask.

I'm humbled by our church family and what they do for us. I only wish every food allergy family could experience this level of accomadation and acceptance.
