My garden nightmare.

Anyone else have an embarrassing spot in their yard? One you don't show on your blog--or to anyone in person? Well, let me present to you my our NIGHTMARE:

I'm a chicken and didn't even give you a proper view of this junk pile. I just can't do it. Here's the thing-we're planting a rasberry patch behind our shed, along the wooden fenceline you see in the photo. So all that stuff crap has to go! I should add that we don't have a garage, so in our defense, where is stuff supposed to go?!

Those yard waste bags will go out in tonight's trash, as will that roll of vinyl flooring. The upside-down patio table frame will go on the deck, and the sandbox (underneath that table frame) will go out in the kids play area and get filled with sand again. The rest of it, which I cleverly did not show you, will likely end up on freecycle or just put out at the curb for someone to take. It still won't look great, however, but what can you do?

Why do I show you this mess? Just keepin' it real, people. I read a lot of blogs, like many of you do, and I get discouraged seeing how "everyone else" has an immaculate home, a cleverly designed front yard, perfectly tended to vegetable beds and NO MESS. Well, I don't have any of those things. I do tend to only show our home & garden's best side when I blog. So I've decided to show the mess a little bit here and there-mostly to keep me accountable but also to maybe encourage others to accept things as they are and not compare a "blogland" home to their own home.

Suggestion? Question? Ideas? I read every.single.comment!! (after I'm done removing Legos from floor vents, of course!)
