It Is My Fault

You'd think that I'd be last person to give Bryce access to his allergens. Well, I goofed. He got hold of a fudgecicle stick from the treat I enjoyed last night after the kids went to bed. The 3rd ingredient is whey and the 5th ingredient is milk-no wonder he broke out in hives after sucking on the stick. (which, for the record, I'd licked clean last night while watching "Dirty Jobs"). I found him eating a nacho chip when I saw the hives-he's not allergic to nacho chips-so we hunted and found a very wet wooden stick, from my dessert last night. To those looking at the photo, no, this isn't a serious reaction requiring the use of Epi-pen. (and yes, the picture was taken AFTER the Benadryl). He had hives around his mouth, on both cheeks, and down the front of his neck. He also had some mild lip-swelling. Also had a few on his hands.I gave him Benadryl and lunch and watched him-the hives started to go away 30 minutes after the Benadryl. Someone nominate me for Mother Of The Year because this was all my fault.
